My teaching is built around you: your level, your goals, your life. Whether you need Portuguese for daily life, for a business meeting, or simply because you love the language, the plan is yours.
You'll use Portuguese from the first session. Grammar exists to serve communication, not the other way around.
You'll be invited to speak, share opinions, present ideas, and take part in roleplays, whether it's a job interview, a work presentation, or just a conversation over coffee. We might listen to a Portuguese song or watch a scene from a Portuguese series, because hearing the language as it's actually used matters just as much as speaking it.
I teach European Portuguese: the accent, vocabulary, rhythm and cultural references of Portugal. If your context is Portugal, Europe or the Portuguese community in the Netherlands, that's exactly what you'll find here.
If you'd like to learn in a group, I'll try to match your level with other students. Groups run from two to four people, and practising together also brings real results.

Session 0 — 20 minutes
We meet online and you get to know how I work. No level test, just a conversation to see if we're a good fit. No commitment.

Written level test
If you'd like to move forward, I send you a short written assessment before Session 1. If this is your first contact with Portuguese, skip this step. We start from zero together.
03
60-minute sessions
We start working, whether in individual or group classes (max. 4, compatible levels). Topics and pace built around you.

Feedback
Along the way, we check in on your progress and motivation, and your feedback on the lessons helps shape what comes next.

Portuguese lessons for team members who work with Portugal, are relocating there or need the language for their role.
The process starts with a 20-minute conversation with the organisation to understand the context, goals and team profile. If the organisation would like to move forward, I send a proposal tailored to the team's needs. Sessions can be individual or small group (up to 6, compatible levels).

Portuguese teaching with coaching monitoring
Add some coaching sessions to your Portuguese lessons to set clear learning goals, with regular check-ins to review your progress and adjust your study habits. The lessons themselves stay fully focused on teaching. Available with both individual and group lessons.
